Highlight: Biosecurity Roundtable

We held 3 iterations of our event "Mitigating the Risks from Catastrophic Pandemics" featuring Gregory Lewis (Freelancer), Jasper Götting (Convergent Research), and Jasmin Kaur (1Day Sooner).

With a total of 46 participants between Geneva, Lausanne, and Zurich, and our impact can further be measured with:

• 13 applications for our 4-week Biosecurity Summer Program in total

  • 3 of them directly following the event.

  • Applications are now closed but if you want a spot, reply to this email!

• 10+ people we didn't know were interested in biosecurity are now on our radar

  • Among them, we scheduled 2 1-on-1s

  • One of them will help facilitate the summer program

• Facilitated connections between actors in the field

  • A participant was subsequently introduced to 1Day Sooner’s Far UVC Lead after the event, helping with their EU-level work in this regard
