Alex is doing a master’s in economics at the University of Zurich, where he is also a research assistant. He has recently shifted his career plan from behavioral and development economics towards working on the governance of AI with a focus on the impacts of automation.

Lauro has been co-organizing EA Zurich since early 2016. He thinks developing good discourse norms are important for the collective truth-seeking capacity of a movement, and is interested in building formats for personal development. He also leads a weekly reading group on AI alignment. Lauro studies for a Master’s in mathematics at ETH.
